okay, so i think one of the dogs has a UTI, she's had a TON of accidents today which she never does and whenever she goes out she's squatting like a million times. unfortunately the vet is closed until tuesday, does anyone know of anything i can give her to help in the mean time?
i know they say cranberry juice for humans, but i don't know if that would make her sick :dunno i googled it and read something about putting apple cider vinegar on her food, but i was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions?

I thought my pup had a UTI and took him into the vet last week and turns out it is something much more serious apparently...he has to go back for ultrasounds and xrays...So I'd recommend getting him in ASAP. As for a quick fix - I have no idea.

If you have a Fleet supply store that sells Penicillin, you could give her that.. That's what we do with our animals.

If it's a UTI there may be blood in urine?! If yes, and if it's the start of a UTI. You'd see blood in her pee. (Is it a pink colorish?) If it's pink colorish and she's not crying, than it's not burning. UTI's in animals are comparable to humans in this aspect. If it's Bloody urine and she's crying. That's where you know the infection is more serious. The vet normally suggests cranberry juice. ***NOTE:
the best is cranberry juice *NOT* from concentrate. - most of the cranberry juices on the market, civilian store and on base are concentrated (i.e. high level of sugar). You'll find the cranberry juice *NOT* from concentrate from the organic store or perhaps in the diabetic aisle in the civilian stores. It's normally highly concentrated where you mix water in with it to dilute it. This will help correct the problem, but your pet will more than like inevitably need antiobitics.
I'd suggest going to the vet.
Hope everyhthing is OK with your pet. Take care.

thanks! she seems to be doing okay today. no accidents or anything. when she WAS having them they weren't pink/bloody and she never cried or anything. i'm still going to try to get her in tomorrow just to double check everything.
