Does anyone here use an electric fence or invisible fence? I have always been against them until now. My dog won't stop going under the fence no matter how many stakes I put in to plug the holes. Soon she will be able to go over the fence. I live in a neighborhood where people fly down the streets and I am afraid one of these days a car will hit her when she gets loose. I have a very hyper breed, and she is a hunting dog. She loves to stalk her prey and the fence will not stop her. Has anyone used the electric or invisible fence to keep their dog in the yard? Did you have success? I really am not sure I will be able to stand to listen to her yip when she gets shocked, but I think it will be better than watching her get hit by a car. :confused I wish she would learn to stay in the yard on her own that darn stubborn dog.

My BIL has and invisable one and it is great. DH's rotty kept getting past it in the beginning, but they got an extra strong colar for him and haven't had any problems since.

People who have them love them, but I always thought they were a bit inhumane. Now I just don't see another way around it. I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks for your input!
