OMG IM SOOO HAPPY!!!!! He just talked about what he has been doing since he got to basic training and everything new and that he loved me. Nothing was sad but after i read it i completly jsut started balling my eyes out. Im just so happy to hear from him but at the same time i miss him even more.

Sounds like my first letter! I just started crying soo much when he started talking about how much he missed me and loved me and such. I know exactly how you feel. Yay I'm glad you got it!

Congratulations! Letters are always awesome! I remember when my brother in Marine Corps boot camp and letters were better than anything you could ever imagine! I know the feeling! In fact... letters from boot camp seemed to have good luck attached to them...that's how I met my current boyfriend :)

I remember my first letter....i pretty much jumped up and down and screamed in the hallway when i opened my mailbox and everyone thought i was psycho...but i didn't care cuz i got a letter from my man. Congrats girl! Don't forget to write him!! I wrote DF everyday and he loved it!

I think most people have been threw that at one time or another. My Mom says DB will find a girl at his base and blah blah blah. It bothers me still but I also learned to ignore it. I think she forgot about when she was dating my Dad and he was in the Air Force :thinking

Anyhow.. youll be fine. True love conqures all. No matter the distance, time or space its strong enough to make it threw. Just keep your head up, smile as much as you can and remember that as much as you love him he loves you and no one can change that or take that away!

:sigh Hi , I just wanted to let you know everything will be fine my husband just left for Iraq on 10-29-07 and he will be gone for 15 months you will get through this it is so hard !

You will learn to live for your mail to come, I know I do! My mailman probably thinks I'm crazy, always running out to the mailbox when he's coming down the road... LOL

FYI, mail only seems to get picked up weekly during red phase. Be prepared to only receive letters once a week until white phase.

Yay! I just got my first letter from my fiance in Fort Sill, OK. today! I've been lucky enough to have 1 minute conversations with him while he's in reception. I know that'll end, but that's okay. Getting the first letter is definitely a rush of emotions, and I look forward to more, and to getting his address soon.

I've kept all of my DH's letters in a 3 ring binder with page protectors inside. Each letter is in a page protector with the envelope. A little nutty, but when I'm feeling sad and missing him like mad, I just grab the 'good book' and start reading. I have almost 60 letters already :cp

Proud wife I do the same thing!!! The day I get his letter I read it a few times, and then I keep reading the same ones until I get another one... then when I am really missing him I pull out my binder and flip through it :) He never fails to bring a huge smile to my face! I'm lucky to have so many, but I guess the reason is kinda sucky bc he was in holding for 5 weeks so he got free time then. now the letters are less frequent, but that means that the clock is ticking and I can see him soon!!

he was in a holding platoon STC/EHP because he was supposed to get surgery, but last minute they changed their minds...! He will have to get the surgery eventually though.
