View Full Version : So glad I found SOS!!
ARMYGF 11-13-2007, 08:59 PM Hi everyone, I am new to the site & to the military life style. I am 26 and living in Dallas with my boyfriend(he's in the Reserve attending school for 4 more months , 2 hours away, comes home on the wekeends, grad. date March 7, 2008, strong possibilty he'll be deployed after) so i am just trying to find some other people to relate too! I have a close group of girlfriends(most of whom are married) & none of them understand the Army or anything that goes along with it....so it's new to me & and have so much respect for the military, their families & girlfriends.It takes a strong person to understand/be ok with a military life style. Still trying to accept that the Army will always be #1, & I will be #2 . Adjusting & glad to have other people to talk to! Dallas is not a military town, so everyone here isn't too understanding. Most of my friends hate when their husband is gone for work for a day or 2 & I do it 5 days a week. And, possibly facing a deployment(2nd tour for him if he goes)..... BUT, he is worth it:)
