She was in heat and my neighbors shih tsu was trying like hell to mount her a couple days ago! :eek I know it's the best thing for them and it'll not just prevent pregnancies but also prevent other possible illnesses.. I just feel bad for her though :sadeyes

I know you feel bad now, but trust me she will bounce back quickly. Tomorrow she will be running around again. My dog was slowed down for about 24 hours. After that she was back to her normal self.

She actually really seams to be doing well. Her little incision is only like half an inch long :) Then again she weighs a whole whopping 6lbs 4ozs.

She should recover quickly. Keep her quiet, preferrably in a kennel until she has healed some. Our female cattle dog did great after her spay.

:hugs

I'm keeping her in the crate in the livingroom for at least the next couple of days. A couple of times a day I'll crate Lilah and let Emmie walk around some. With the kids and Lilah I need to keep her in the crate to be sure she doesn't get hurt.
