I got this from someone in another group and it is the BEST and EASIEST mac-n-cheese (well, except for the velveeta box kind, lol)
2 cups macaroni (uncooked)
12 oz velveeta cheese
16 oz cottage cheese
2 1/4 cups boiling water
1 stick butter
Dump last four ingredients into pot and stir a bit/chope up velveeta lump. Add macaroni, cover and put on "low". Cook, on low, for 2 - 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Towards the end I like to add a dash or two of pepper. It will look "soupy" for a while - and if it still looks that way at the end of the cooking just turn of fand let set for 10-15 minutes, it sets up nicely.
The original recipe called for using cooked pasta and only cooking for 1 1/2 hours on low but if I am using the crockpot I am doing so to avoid a lot of "cooking" so I played around with it and discovered it is just as good, and easier, with uncooked pasta.
