Hi ladies!

Ok so I survived week one since my pookie left for IL. And I'e been writing a book of letters until I receive his address. I want to send him some fun stuff too to make him feel special and stuff he can enjoy. What are some acceptable things I can send him that won't get him in trouble and that are creative??:dunno

I know it can't be anything obscene, in a box, or food.....

Ideas?

thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!

Blessings!:D

I sent mine pictures...
sudoku printed on computer paper

myth buster's updates, he loves that show...

i also have these sticky notes from halmark and I would stick them to hot pink/ lime green pieces of paper..

for example, one was a picture of a car on a hill and it said wanna make out...it was on hot pink paper and he said that all the other guys grabbed it out of his hands before he could even look at it and were laughing....

sorry this is so long haha

I also sent him kisses on a piece of paper...if I think of anything I will let you know!

good luck...keep your chin up :hugehug

I make my boyfriend fun little cut-outs made from construction paper (like a letter in the shape of an animal... heart... fruit... just anything different). Like I made a scrabble board and cut out little yellow squares then put messages to him in the form of a scrabble game!!

Okay.. Seriously, you posted a question, and I made a joke (sorry)... for real, don't make the envelopes stand out by making them pretty and perfumey... DH said that letters that are obviously from girls are worth push-ups in formation..

Maybe don't put your name above the return address, just the address without a name would probably be fine...

I've sent along lots of pictures printed on paper, print outs of news that I've come across online that he might be interested in. They don't have any contact with the outside world so it's nice to fill him in on stuff like that.

I send all of my letters to DH in pink envelopes. I think it's kind of funny and he hasn't complained about getting harrassed for it, I hope not:suspect

Care packages??? You can send care packages? I'm starting to feel bad now. I haven't sent anything but letters. DH says that they take away most things that are sent to them, so if you do, don't send anything of value. I guess a lot of guys in his platoon were sent Halloween candy, and the drills got a kick out of eating all of the candy in front of them.

my boyfriend is also in basic, he left the 4th of oct. and it took about 3 weeks to get an address. we didn't hear from him until about 2 weeks or so into the training...that sucked. Not sure if that is just an army thing or if it applies to all branches, but be prepared to not hear from him for a minute. the time apart and all of the not knowing makes you really think and evaluate how much you really love him, need him, and can't wait to see him again. When you send him his first letter, include pictures. Send some old faves and take some new sassy ones that will spark his interest! Nothing naughty (that is not allowed) but you can get all jazzed up and take some home glamour shots! lol he'd love it. send him some paper, envelopes, stamps, crossword puzzles, some things to occupy his time and his mind.

her dh is deploying. no care packages at bootcamp. they get razzed about stuff like that.

to the OP: no naughty pictures for one, but regular pics are fine. Like Lefty said don't make the envelopes over girly ( although dh never cared that I did it because it made him feel all special. :giggle) I love all the suggestions 4everhis442 made those were pretty neat. :tu

I made mine puzzles. The first one was a square of paper that I painted to say, "I love you with all my <3". I sent piece by piece in different letters. He loved that.
