Today I was trying to write a physics paper when I get an email from the mail center that I had a package! I assumed it was from DB because my friend's fiance sent her a package the other day and he is at PI with my bf, different platoons though! SOoooo I forced myself to write a page before I let myself go lol... I go and I have a huge package from Beaufort SC! Inside was a Christmas present, wrapped in red paper and had Christmas stickers and all! He sent me two sweatshirts, one said USMC Marines on it, and the other says Third Battalion :wub And there was a disposible camera inside... which i discovered had all the pictures taken except one! So I took a picture for him of myself, and then went to get them developed ASAP!! Omgosh it was an exciting day!! The pictures were of him!!!! Sooooo cute :grin: In his cammies...:sweetheart drool... Some of him with friends, lots of him making silly faces, being funny and flexing his muscles, smiling, making kissy faces! he must have bought the camera at that store and taken all the pics right then with his friends' help!! he also included a little note saying it's an early christmas present... and he can't wait to wake up as husband and wife on christmas one day :wub

i'm guessing that they got time on Veteran's day maybe! I think his whole platoon must have been allowed to go shopping (onbase i would assume bc a lot of it is USMC stuff, but idk because in some of the pics the store looks huge and they were selling electronics and guitarhero? lol who knows where they were!)

Most likely they were in the PX..when I was in Basic we all got bused over to the BX so we could pick out presents for family members for Christmas. Then they bused us to the post office to mail them. Then it was back to business. That is really sweet that he thought to get a camera and take pictures. Sounds like a keeper!!:sweetheart

Oh my gosh, I wish my dh would do the whole camera thing! I'm missing him so much, and snapshot would be lovely! I should tell him to do that for me. I wonder if I can mail him a disposable camera? Do you think they will let him keep it?

Misty, I am not sure if they would let him keep it... all of Josh's photos were taken at the store right then, but in the barracks. Idk it's worth asking! is your dh at airforce bootcamp i'm assuming by the airplane?? :)

Yay! DH sends me pictures (camera phone) of flowers sometimes when he's out and about. I guess it's cheaper and it makes me feel good. Yours is extra sweet.

I think they should teach them to have to do that once a month at least while they are deployed. It wouldn't be as sweet but at least it would happen.
