So in March dh and I did something great, we paid off my 2005 Saturn Ion. It was my first vehicle, we had the car care maintenance program, and an extended warrenty on it, and i paid it off in just 2 1/2 years. However this put us back a bit in our savings account and we have less then $100.

Now we have raised the account up to $11,300 and I am SO excited. We still owe just under $19,000 on sh's truck but we are saving finally.

THis is a huge milestone for us and I am so proud. Espically since I haven't been working for the past 4 months.

yeah but its not like we will do it again in the next 8 months, we jsut had a lot going this time.

Thats great news! I also have a saturn ion, but a 2003. we managed to pay it off in less then 2 years. Saturns are not expensive cars to begin with, so it helped us alot.
