We are going to try this for DS today...We think he may have an issue with the milk and a reflux problem...
Although there is a lot less in the bigger can then the gentlease...ugh!
What was everyones experience with it?

I dont know.... be careful switching his formula around like that though. It can be really rough on his tummy.
Have you talked to his ped about it? I have never switched formula without ped approval.
Good luck though. I know how frustrating it is. We went through that with Chris.

Both my kids had to use it. One had reflux so bad it was projectile.
I know it was expensive 8 years ago, I can't image what the cost is now.

You can switch him over slowly I never talked with a pedi if I switched brands but it was Darian's pedi that said put him on soy.

Ashley has reflux. They werent sure WHAT it was so they switched her to soy first thinking it was a lactose issue. That helped for about 1 week (the honeymoon phase) and then she started to refuse to eat again. She was put on Zantac and it made a HUGE difference. The 1 thing tho too was she could and can only eat smaller amounts. So very young she'd eat 2oz. Now she eats 4 oz and sometimes 6. We also had to make sure we kept her upright for an hour after eating. Well after all that she was eating much better but still spitting up. WIC switched us to gentleease and OMG what a difference. She stopped spitting up and eats etc.
So it really varies.

I'd talk to the doc first. You may be mistakening something as simple as gas. Switching formula can be real tough on thier system, so I'd do it under the pedi's supervision.
Cameron had terrible reflux. He was on Nutramagin (aftrer trying several others), Zantac and Reglen so he could just keep most of his food down and he still projectile vomited, just a little less. Nutramagin is like double the price of regular, I hated it.

OH yeah given that he is only going on 7 weeks if it is projectile vomiting I would contact the pedi because you want to rule out anything like pyloric stenosis. Just thuoght of that. Darian had PS as an infant.

Ya me either. My pedi told me from day one that I may have to switch a few times before I found one that worked for Madelyn and boy he was right! I ended up having to put her on Soy as well.

You have to switch slowly. It takes about 2 weeks before you will know if the new formula is working.
I tried that formula ,but it still has milk in it so my son still broke out in eczema. I ended up switching him soy.
If your not on WIC ,you might want to see if you qualify. They will give you checks for special formula,as long as your doctor writes a note.

My dr and nurse said that its a trail and error to see what works...
My husband bought the lacto free stuff and he was so much better tonight...
They also asked at his appointment if my husband and myself were lactose intolerant...And we both are...
