Cassaundra 11-25-2007, 02:13 PM a waffle maker got me through some nasty dinners at college. We made waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, hot grilled sandwiches, and french toast. You can do so much with a waffle maker! you can also bake cupcakes in a toaster oven. trust me, ask a college student who lived in a dorm to get the skinny on what some products can do! tifflovezyou 11-25-2007, 02:14 PM Grill Cheese sandwiches! :yes I (L) a good grilled cheese in the waffle maker :D Traci 11-25-2007, 02:16 PM Yummy. erickson007 11-25-2007, 02:18 PM Grill Cheese sandwiches! :yes I (L) a good grilled cheese in the waffle maker :D really? just stick the sammich in there? I was wondering if I could do cookies in a waffle maker as well. If you think about it, same concept. Teresa 11-25-2007, 03:38 PM This is pretty much the same recipe. I haven't made them myself yet but one of my friends made them for our cookie exchanges every year :yum http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Waffle-Cookies-2/Detail.aspx gotcurls 12-08-2007, 12:52 PM http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/ShowRecipe.aspx?rid=14452 http://www.pillsbury.com/images/recipes/beautyshots/r14452fp.jpg 7 oz. (1 3/4 cups) shredded mozzarella cheese 1 oz. (1/4 cup) shredded Parmesan cheese 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 2 (8-oz.) cans Pillsbury® Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls 1 (14-oz.) jar pizza sauce 32 small slices pepperoni (about 2 1/2 oz. 1. Heat waffle maker with 8-inch-square cooking surface on Medium-High heat setting. In medium bowl, mix both cheeses, basil and oregano; set aside. In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, heat pizza sauce over low heat, stirring occasionally, until hot. Place in small serving bowl. 2. Unroll both cans of dough onto work surface. Separate each crosswise, making 4 (7x6-inch) rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. 3. Place 1 dough rectangle on bottom surface of heated waffle maker, being careful not to open up perforations. Quickly sprinkle 1 cup cheese mixture evenly on top of dough. Place 16 slices of pepperoni evenly over cheese mixture. Top with another dough rectangle; close waffle maker. 4. Bake 2 to 3 minutes or until sandwich is golden brown. With pancake turner, remove from waffle maker; place on cutting board. Cool 30 seconds before cutting. Cut into 4 square sandwiches or 8 triangular snacks. Repeat with remaining dough, cheese mixture and pepperoni. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft) No change. |
