View Full Version : At What Age
Mommy2Bailey 11-26-2007, 09:41 AM Did your baby start liking the swing? I would love to be able to put Bailey in her swing some. Even if its just for 10 minutes so I can go pee or eat a bite while Tony is at work. But I am thinking that she is just too young right now.
rosebud* 11-26-2007, 09:42 AM my babies were in the swing from the time they came home.. ours had the lay way back seat so they did fine.
Kiser'sBabe 11-26-2007, 09:43 AM Both my kids never did like the swing at any age. I think it just depends on the baby.
Caimbrie 11-26-2007, 09:48 AM Mine liked it right from the day they came home. That was actually the only way I got any sleep at night with Cameron and Wyatt... They slept in the swing right next to my bed for a while.
ellie has loved the swing since she came home from the hospital... it just depends on the baby
April 11-26-2007, 09:49 AM birth. But the back and forth ones NOT the side to sides ones :dunno
tifflovezyou 11-26-2007, 09:50 AM Lauren never liked the swing, but my neice (4 days younger than Lauren) loved it! She lived in it from the time she came home. I couldnt get Lauren to stay in there for more than a few minutes, she liked to be held :lol
Jessica 11-26-2007, 10:00 AM My oldest never liked her swing. She prefered mommy to sway her back and forth. With my baby now we put her in the swing the day she came home. we have the one that goes front to back or side to side(she prefers side to side) She loved it, she loved it for about 6 weeks and then we put her in her bouncy and she became attatched to that. Now she loves both of them .
Angie 11-26-2007, 10:03 AM My oldest 2 loved the swing from day 1 but my youngest doesn't like it much
bettyboop604 11-26-2007, 10:07 AM From day one. With my first I was in high school... it was the only way for me to study or get papers written.
They have all loved the swing... it was a sad day when they grew out of it.
Amanda 11-26-2007, 10:23 AM we don't have a swing but I think ds would love it...he enjoys swaying side to side :D
Heather 11-26-2007, 10:30 AM I don't think shes too young. I've seen swings in hospital nurseries.
Mommy2Bailey 11-26-2007, 10:37 AM I guess I will bring hers out tonight since Tony has to work and I will eventually need to pee and eat while he is gone....lol
*Crystal* 11-26-2007, 11:51 AM Yea Ive had Rhyann in it since shes come home. I had it on the lowest setting.

sailorswife01 11-26-2007, 12:54 PM my boys liked the swing but my dd prefered her bouncy seat. and we startde from birth with all 3
Traci 11-26-2007, 12:56 PM Neither one of my kids liked the swing so I have no clue.:lol
Taressa 11-26-2007, 01:24 PM as long as it can lay back and they don't have to support their own heads it safe. my kids LOVED theirs and lived in it they actually didn't like to be held that much when they were newborns ethan hated to be held hated it. austin was a little more cuddly it wasn't until ethan was like 4 months old that he really required holding LOL his bouncy i held off on i don't know why but not with austin it was the only way i could get pictures of him out of his crib. then went from that to their johnny jumpers or exercersaucers but those only when they could completely support their own big ol' heads
Gabby didn't really like hers. She used it a few times when she was about 6 months old, but that was it. She really liked her bouncer though, from the beginning (watching the colors from the fishes moving- FisherPrice Aquarium bouncer).
Kaymara 11-26-2007, 02:29 PM Both times the day I brought em home from the hospital. They both loved it. We had the fisher price one that went side to side and they both loved it
gss1981 11-26-2007, 02:31 PM Both my children loved it from day one.
piggypunkinetta 11-26-2007, 02:48 PM My first two loved the swing. I put them in when they first came home. My youngest was not a swing baby.
