Ok so ilove my daughter to death but she is driving me crazy.... she is 16 months old and she understands everything so well, you tell her to bring you her cup, or her shoes or socks, or the remote and she does it... but hen i tell her to do something anything it's like talking to a wall... you have to yell at her just to get a small reaction out of her... i am really starting to loose my patience... Jason (my husband) insisted we get a cat, who can be as annoying as my daughter.... idk what to do, i tired to put her in timeout and she wouldn't face the wall when she realized i was really up set she sat there, but when i wasn't looking she would tire and get up... so now she is in her crib fake choking... and i want to scream....:reallymad:wowsers

It's her age. She has figured out that she can make choices for herself whether you appove of them or not. You just have to be consistent and she will figure it out what her boudries are.

it's really hard but you have to remain patient. yelling at her will only make it that much harder when she gets older. also pick your battles not everything is worth fighting over at that age. consistency is always the key ( not the easy way )

It just seems like she listens to her dad better than she listens to me.... she looks at me like i am stupid but jumps like a puppy for her dad... and then if i try to tell her to do something 10 times when i get up set she runs to her dad.... which makes me mad becasue he kinda under mines me...
