I was watching all the snow coming down on the news... it sounds like it's everwhere. Is it snowing where you are? :cp

Not snowing here (N. Seattle) but it was raining pretty good. Thank goodness I have a 4 wd to get to work in Monroe tomorrow! Apparently they get quite a bit more snow out there!

i'm not gonna know what to do with myself when you washingtonians don't salt or sand your roads in the slop & ice. back in mi, i've driven down unplowed roads & all that...but hills w/ no salt & sand...dunno bout that.

It snowed last night on my way home from work and then turned to rain. Quite a bit stuck at my house and I had a hard time getting out of my driveway this morning.

My dad got like 5+inches over night up in Canada.

No snow here.

But I guess most of the rest of WA has snow.

Just curious but how often does it snow in WA? I know some areas will have more than others but where you ladies are how much does it snow? I'm asking because DH and I are thinking of moving either to Portland, OR or somewhere in WA (if he can find a job that is) and I'm wondering about snow. I have never lived where it snows so it's kinda worrying me because I'm already a big baby about driving and I know snow will freak me out. :teehee

It's snowing constantly right now. I work off of Kitsap Way in West Bremerton. Db's out driving the car an I havent heard him say anything bad yet. Looks like he's staying another night with me.

It snowed all day yesterday (Sat 12/1), stopped for a bit in the evening and it has been snowing again today since I got up. We have at least 6 inches here and it isn't stopping. We can't get up our hill to get out of here and our power is threatening to go out. North Kitsap is getting hit hard as well. I'm near Seabeck. Power just flashed again! What is it doing elsewhere in Bremerton and Silverdale?

I'm in Tacoma, and a few snowflakes fell yesterday, but nothing stuck!:sigh

I would love some snow, but since I grew up here I know it doesn't happen very often and if it does, it seems like it usually snows in January. I would love wintery weather since I spent the last six months dying in Georgia (Ft Gordon)! It got up to 112 degrees there this summer! Yuck!

i dont believe all that snow caused all this flooding

i dont believe all that snow caused all this flooding

when the ground is so saturated from having frozen precipitation from sitting on it for two days of course the rain isn't going to have anywhere to go so yes the snow played a huge role in the flooding

Dani
12-05-2007, 10:43 AM
It played a role however there are areas that got hit with over 7 inches of rain in 24 hours. It's hard to have that much water go anywhere in that short of a time frame.

yeah, it was just a situation of circumstances

Yay for circumstances. :lol I am glad I sit on a hill on the Island with no rivers or creeks to contend with.
