Brandi 11-26-2007, 09:35 PM After all of your bills are paid- groceries, internet, phone (And cell phone), rent and utls, car payments, insurances that you have (life, car, renters, homeowners, etc), gas and other bills you may have such as credit card payments, personal loans, etc, APPROX how much do you have left over each MONTH (before you put any into savings, investments, etc)?
Incoming poll for this also.
CoffeeGirl 11-26-2007, 09:36 PM $1,000 or so
Chevy_Gurl 11-26-2007, 09:39 PM before me working = $35
after me working = $1400 give or take
Shep's Wife 11-26-2007, 09:40 PM $300-$500~anywhere between there
amandalaine 11-26-2007, 09:40 PM Like $5 :lol I don't know the exact amount, but it's not a whole lot since I'm not working.
we have about 250-300ish dollars when he is home, a lot more than that when he is deployed.
rosebud* 11-26-2007, 09:59 PM honestly I don't know. it's all kinda bundled together IE everything is kinda budgeted.
Celeste 11-27-2007, 02:01 AM We have 1500-2K left over/going into savings.
Loretta 11-27-2007, 02:09 AM :rofl I answered less than $100, which is a really optimistic way to say it, actually. :giggle
dannysgirl004 11-27-2007, 02:09 AM About $750 if we budget right. But really we have no extras. No cell phones, no credit cards, no personal loans. All we have that I would say would be and extra is a truck payment.
farmerchyk 11-27-2007, 12:12 PM about 1000-1100 each month
familyof4 11-27-2007, 01:54 PM About 1200$ But alot of that goes into savings for retirement and a rainy day fund :)
mrskmw 11-27-2007, 01:56 PM honestly I don't know. it's all kinda bundled together IE everything is kinda budgeted.
That's how it is here too right now.
Proud_MPWIFE 11-27-2007, 06:08 PM It ranges from $2100- $3000 with DH civilian job, but now that he will be active while on deployment, around $1200. This is per month, not per check..lol
MontanaSweetie 11-27-2007, 06:15 PM A little over a $1,000+ usually.
$300-500 (that's just my $)
Margaret 11-27-2007, 06:45 PM 600 which is what i bring home. When I was working we had just enough to slide by
jlbecker 11-27-2007, 06:48 PM if we dont make any big purchases, we can usually put around 2000 into savings.
Every penny we make goes into something right when we get paid. ex. savings, bills, envie system, so we truly have no money left over after paying bills because everything is budget and has it own place.
flangl18 11-30-2007, 08:44 AM After all of your bills are paid- groceries, internet, phone (And cell phone), rent and utls, car payments, insurances that you have (life, car, renters, homeowners, etc), gas and other bills you may have such as credit card payments, personal loans, etc, APPROX how much do you have left over each MONTH (before you put any into savings, investments, etc)?

Well, when I am working it is around $5500 we have left over before savings. Right now I am not working, so it is about $2500.
LaneyBug 11-30-2007, 08:48 AM Probably about $500. That pretty much all goes toward paying off the small amount of debt we have left.
Before savings & investments, somewhere in the $1500-$2000 range.
gottli10 11-30-2007, 08:56 AM With just my money, every month I have about $1600 dollars left over (I put $500 into savings) and another $700 into my retirement account.
mossey2000 11-30-2007, 09:12 AM maybe 200 but we have everything budgeted really well.
sgmwife1 11-30-2007, 09:39 AM DH makes a nice income.
Callie 11-30-2007, 10:45 AM We usually have about $600 left a month. Looking at everyone elses though, that's not a lot. Maybe I should get a job. lol!
Rileysmom 11-30-2007, 10:48 AM None, because we slap all our extra money onto our old debt. If we weren't doing that, about $1000.
Rain. 11-30-2007, 10:49 AM We usually have about 400-500 left over. we put 100 into savings every payday.
mitziebella 12-04-2007, 08:15 AM I voted 900-1200 since i am working now...we have a little more money that we can put into savings..
Kelsey 12-04-2007, 08:31 AM None at the moment. Except I do like to keep about $100 in the account at all times in case something crazy were to happen. However, I WAY pay more than the minimum on our credit card (I usually pay it in full each month until we had several emergencies that had to be charged on it.)
Starting in January working our way through June we'll get all of our debts paid off, I'll be getting more income, and we'll be able to start saving maybe $600-700 a month :)
missjenn00 12-04-2007, 08:37 AM i said under 100 but i have money that goes into savings every check and other things.
tifflovezyou 12-04-2007, 08:38 AM :rofl I answered less than $100, which is a really optimistic way to say it, actually. :giggle
:rofl same here. Im a single mom with one income paying most of the bills with a little help from my husband's SS.
Less than a $100 right now, if he doesn't get OT...
PrincessBlue505 12-04-2007, 12:01 PM Wow-a lot of people who left comments have more than half our whole monthly pay left after all their bills are paid!
We end up with about $300 left over a month. I always end up over spending at Walmart and on food and stuff so we'd have a lot more left over if I didn't give into so many impulse buys at Walmart and the commissary. Also, we have more money left over when we're living in base housing instead of out in town cuz our mortgage and utilities always end up going way over what we get in BAH (here where we bought a house, we're paying almost $400/month more than our BAH in our mortgage and utilities, so we'd have all that extra if we lived in base housing).
gss1981 12-04-2007, 04:39 PM About $300 to $500, I'm guessing. I'd have to look at the bills and take off all the automatic savings. Oh, and that also includes $500 in child support. Does that count as a pre-figure?
kellsies_mom 12-04-2007, 05:08 PM around 1000 to 1100
inmansgirl06 12-04-2007, 05:13 PM i so lied on mine, i thought it was per pay check, but if its per month then we have about 1000-1500 left over (depending on what we do that month) but if i was right and its per check then only like 500-600 or so.
Casadorra 12-07-2007, 09:51 PM about 15 dollars!! woohoo for just starting out as a married couple!!!
Victoria 12-07-2007, 10:06 PM Let's just say I'm very much looking forward to going back to work after almost 3 years. :) We took a huge paycut coming here from Hawaii..
JennyK 12-07-2007, 10:10 PM No matter how much it is it never seems to be enough!!!
flafwife 12-08-2007, 02:48 AM :rofl I answered less than $100, which is a really optimistic way to say it, actually. :giggle
:yes same here i think its costing me more while hes gone to support him than it did for him to drive the 90 miles a day to and from work. :sigh so its usually ALOT less which is:depressed
Jennifer 12-08-2007, 05:13 AM before savigns...around 500. But we count our savings as a bill and pay it automtically. We're trying to pay down our debt asap right now so we have usually less than 15 bucks in the account the day before pay day/.
footstepswife 12-08-2007, 05:58 AM We use to have around 2000 left over-when I was going to school, with my GI BIll and such.
Now since we moved--tutition for the kids, a couple new little bills---we only have right now about 500, I think.
SezzySue 12-08-2007, 05:26 PM Less then $300
