DH called this morning and I didn't miss the call this time. YAY!!!! It was awesome to hear his voice since it's been a few days. First part of the conversation was crap. He got all the crap news out first. He couldn't get his POA stuff done, they are telling he should of handled that before he deployed. Hmmm..... that's what I kept saying as he assured me it would be no big deal while he was inprocessing. Next he tells me that he getting ready to leave Kuwait and head into Iraq. Great, more good news. He confirmed where he thought he was going to be. Then he said he was thinking about volunteering for an extra 2 or 3 weeks at the end of his deployment to come back on a ship and give up part of his block leave time. I could have reached through the phone and choked him. I bet his mind changes (it better) after he's been there for a while. It's his job to get his butt home to me. Luckily the conversation then turned to how much he missed me and loved me and couldn't wait to come home. Of course after about 2 minutes of the good talk the phone card ran out and he had formation soon anyways.

So, I still look forward to the next phone call or message. Just hope it is a little more good news. I guess just hearing his voice was great news.

Oh, and then I went and rejoined the gym after the phone call because it was either that or raiding the fridge.

Oh, but he did tell me that he will be home by the end of July 08. That was awesome news since he originally thought it would be longer. YAY YAY YAY

yay for the phone call! I'm glad it ended on a good note with lots of love. The gym is a wonderful thing. My only problem is that after working out I'm so hungry that my friends and I usually go out to eat. Workout defeated! lol. Oh well!

I only have until the end of July to get extra hot for when he comes home. I've been on a pretty good course of getting in shape but could tell I was slipping the last week. Time to kick it back up a notch and really give him something to look forward to.

That's funny. I've been hanging out with some friends that have been trying to make me feel better each night with a few to many :hosed. By the time he gets home I'll have a beer belly the size of Texas if I keep it up.
