How did I get so freaking lucky to get a man like this?(L) It's not just that he sends me gifts that I'm saying this, because i'd be bragging on him anyway. He's done such a great job so far about making me feel connected and important to him, and supporting me too. He's so mature & thoughtful especially considering he is at freaking war.

We were talking about marriage again ( I think he's now technically my df), and I was expressing concerns about what would happen to us finanically after he got out of the military (and i'd still be in school, not able to work). He told me he would do whatever it takes to get us through, and under no circumstances would I have to quit school.

Now I need advice on how to recipricate all of this!!! Any hints?

AWWW!!!!! (L)(L) You and your DF sound just like me and DH:) He hasn't sent me THAT many roses, but i did get some earlier in the deployment. I am amazed at how our men can be so sweet and caring while they are at WAR!! Anyway, lucky us:) I am also in school, and right now I am working part time but once I'm in grad school I won't be able to work. BAH and seperation covers all my living expenses, but DH was worried that he wouldn't be able to find a job (outside of the Marine Corps) that would give him the benefits, and pay to be able to support both of us while I am in school. We decided that it would probably be best for him to reenlist for another 4years, (just enough time for me to finish my graduate program) so that way the military will support me as his dependent, and he will have a reliable pay check- plus that will give him time to work on HIS bachelors...so we both win.

I know what you mean when you want to reciprocate!!! I would just keep sending him letters/packages.

I think you should keep doing whatever it is that you are doing obviously it is working ;) I tell my BF "Thank you for the way you treat me, it means everything to me". I honestly never in my life had a man treat me the way he does and it does mean the world to me. You have a wonderful man there.

aww!! :lovestruck thats great he is so sweet to you, and:woot for flowers! I've gotten them once so far myself, and its such a great feeling knowing they're thinking of you as much as you're thinking of them. I think as far as reciprocating you are already doing a lot for him and he knows how you feel, so i'd say you're good! I think all they really want is appreciation and to feel loved back:smitten
