What did you wear to your JOP/Courthouse wedding???

I dont want to wear like a wedding dress because I am still having my real wedding and want to save that.. but I always want to wear something cute (and warm bc it will be cold outside)

Any suggestions?

lol my little white dress, a bow in my hair, and thats about it.

DH and I got married on the beach before our actual wedding last year by his Dad. And I bought an off white knee length halter dress to wear... cute and casual. I got it at Dillards for like $15 :D They have some killer sales around this time!

We didn't get married at a court house, but, my sister did. She wore just a cute white dress. It was sleeveless. She wore a shawl around it (it was in Feb in PA). It was simple but still dressy enough.

This is what i wore. it is a cream chinese suit. i was going ot wear a jeam skirt but my mom said no and remebered i had this from homecoming!!

aw I think you look beautiful!!!! I saw two on davidsbridal that I liked.. I could just get a shawl or something .. But what shoes would I wear?? Hmm... It was supposed to be just simple, but I cant help but get into it, and Db said he'll pay for whatever I want because he knows its a special day .. And we dont know the EXACT day , but we're doing it while hes home on christmas leave for the two weeks...

Plus im not exactly skinny , so I know white sometimes its tricky to find somthing flattering..

I love the second one, but I think the price is just so much for a JOP wedding. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous. But look around a bit more. I think a halter is almost always more slimming for larger women (I'm a bit larger, so I know you're POV).

im also doing the JOP wedding next month! and im confused on what im gonna wear too lol..

I had a formal wedding and a couture gown. But for dress suggestions I liked what you posted for a JOP wedding =) I liked the first one really cute (depending on your chest size) I'd go with that one. If you've got a big chest or are on the bigger size I'd do the halter gown. I also liked the one dress the other girl posted that was uber cute and inexpensive. What I'd suggest is maybe go that route. You could do a light little bolero jacket or shawl or if your crafty. (See I am) go to the local fabric store and you could make a shawl. Get maybe taffeta or something that is really pretty (maybe a large huge rectangular piece, if you have seamstress ability) and just finish the edges off. (I made a piano recital gown years ago I'm crafty) If you have a serger or know someone that is local that is a friend of could do this. You'd just pay for the material =)

Did I miss it? YOu're ENGAGED???? I miss so much...damn that job of mine! I was preggo at my jop wedding so I wore a short strapless white dress with a black bow under the boobies. I wish I would have gone a little nicer since I didn't have a real wedding after that. I had a reception after baby was born, but I again wore a more casual white dress.

We had on jeans, and I think I had on my Sex Pistols t-shirt and a corset. Maybe. Not too sure there. I DID have my doc's on, and probably unlaced. Matching mohawks, though! We looked sharp. :yes :giggle
