olivia will be a month old on tuesday and she eats about 5-6 ounces about every 3 hours.
i feel like that's a lot, it seems like all she does is eat.

4-6 oz. I wanna say 5 because I remember making 5 oz bottles. Ethan ate A LOT!!! He was almost double his birth-weight at his 2 month WBC.

Madison has been eating about 4 ounces every 2.5-3 ounces since she was about a month (she's 7 weeks) . I feel like she should be eating more, but she won't eat more - sometimes she won't even finish her 4 ounces.

wow, my DS only gets 4...We just upped it from 3...Our Ped says 2-3 ounces every two hours.

Both my daughters were eating 2 oz at a month. They ate every two hours, even at night.

Liam was the same way. He had 6oz every three hours, from the time he was born. He'd have boob in between, too.

Then again, he was two feet long and over ten lbs at birth so maybe that was normal for his size? :shrug

Every baby is different. She's going to eat when she's hungry, so don't worry about how much she is eating yet. :)

Not sure about ounces (BF'ed) but Trent was eating every 2-3 hours and would be on the breast for about 30 minutes or so.

as long as she is wetting 6-8 diapers a day she is getting enough to eat.

Grayce was eating 4oz bottle of expressed BM at one month. Occasionally it would 5oz but not to often.

Sometimes DS is still hungry after 4 and we will give him a little more...We go off his cues...Sometimes 3, 4 or 5.

Austin is breastfed but ate between about 3 and 4 oz of BM at 1 month from the bottle :dunno every baby is different hun :)

Every baby is different. She's going to eat when she's hungry, so don't worry about how much she is eating yet. :)

She will eat whatever she wants to eat, and stop when she's full. Its HARD to overfeed a baby....its not like u can FORCE it down when they're full.

agree...if u have a ped telling u "give them x amount, x often" I would be finding another ped.

Of course, it could just be that alot of parents are misreading what the ped is saying....it is possible that the ped is saying "AT LEAST x amount, x often, at x age"

i think they need 2 oz for every pound they weigh to keep their weight up athena was 2 oz ever 2 hours

My son who is 7 weeks old eats 4 oz every 3-4 hours.

brian is an eater too...he was up to 4oz around a month old...I think it sounds about right.

I can't remember about Emily and Dylan but that's about what Madelyn was eating at that age too!
