He had some great points. I don't know that I would vote for a third party candidate (It would depend on the candidate), but that whole debate was a joke, which was the fault of CNN for doing such a piss poor job of putting together valid questions that are actually relevant to the concerns, or what should be the concerns of Americans. Health care, Social Security, Immigration and Terrorism....

I am not clicking yet... I TiVo'ed it and haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet, but I was just about to. So, I am gonna watch it first so I can see if whatever you linked stands out to me during the debate. :P

Yeah, I agree with you there. I wouldn't go as far as saying I'd vote for anyone and I don't care who as long as they aren't a Rep or Dem or what have you. I thought his concern for healthcare was a good one though and it upsets me that so much of these debates are so much BS and not the REALLY important stuff.

Its actually just a response to the debates, it's not actually a part of it. It was just a guy posting his feelings about the debates, in general. I agree with quite a few of his concerns and points. I've been doing a MUCH better job this year of actually watching the debates and keeping up with this stuff, so I'm finding that a lot of this riles me up a lot more than past years. :lol

That's how I felt in 2000, and even worse in 2004, then again in 2006, and this election... :hairout :temper :angry :gaah :freakout . And lemme tell you, once you start paying attention and really caring, it just gets WORSE every year. :rofl

Well, it also let's you compare from debate to debate in what is being said by the candidates for consistency as well. I remember my first time voting and I really had no clue what I was doing, just voting for whomever my parents voted for. The election was two months after I turned 18. Since then I have learned so much more about the process and feeling out more about why I believe what I do and what issues are the most important to me, etc. I am steering my kids that direction also by teaching them that they have to formulate opinions for themselves and read about issues themselves - not let teachers or parents or even friends influence thier political decisions.
Of course then I told them if they ever voted Democrat I would disown them! Hehehe....(Just kidding of course!!)

I was mad watching the debate. My big issue is obviously what the next president plans on doing about Iraq and our troops and I didn't feel anyone really spoke about it. of course I missed some of cuz I was on the phone so it's possible I just missed that part.

I don't think any questions were asked about it, from what I can recall on the replay.

I think its safe to say that that is going to be a Dem/Rep issue. If we get a dem in office....the troops will be home ASAP....if we get a rep in office...we will continue on the same path we're on now (but with a little more "goal" in mind, kwim?)....unless of course something is done before Bush gets out of office...which I doubt.

I'm a republican, have always been a republican....and that debate the other night really disappointed me. It was like a couple of kids just...picking on eachother.:no

I do agree that he has some valid points.
If only EVERYONE would think that way on some things.

I am watching it now and as far as the scholarships for children of illegal immigrants, I TOTALLY agree with Mike Huckabee over Mitt Romney. :tu

I doubt many people even asked that question because it is pretty well understood exactly what the Republicans want to do when it comes to Iraq...

I'm not sure how many of you know about Ron Paul or not, but he is a Republican, but not like any other Republican you have listened to before. They gave him very little time on the debate and when they did (the little thing between him and McCain where McCain accused him of wanting the country to sit back and let people like Hitler take over was one) it didn't show the true issues or his resonse to them. I had listened to most of it and I am not real familiar with all the names, but for a long time now Ron Paul has said that the nation needs to do away with the IRS, now some of the other candidates are picking up on the response to what he is saying and starting to say some similar things. His stance on the "war" in Iraq? We should have never went in the first place, he voted against it, said if they want to declare war they should do so by actually sending it to congress and declaring it. He wants the troops home immediately. Not waiting until 2013 like Hillary has mentioned. His stand is that we should trade and talk with other countries but not go into them and try to tell them how they need to run the country. Some people get upset that he says that 9/11 was in part a result of our occupation in their holy lands. But in fact, that is true isn't it? Are they not upset with us because we are where we are doing what we are doing?
Anyway, please check him out before you consider him 'just another Republican', he's not.... www.ronpaul2008.com is his official site. I personally sent in a change of party card from Democrat to Republican to be able to vote for him.
And the guy in the video is right, but this is nothing new. I've been a nurse since 1990 and it has been reported that there would be a shortage only becoming worse because of the workload, stress, pay and other issues related to this occupation.
The actual debate, pretty much to me was a joke. They sent too many questions to the same people and the questions themselves were a joke...
Military spouses for change is proposing a debate at Fort Hood, they have invited all the candidates there. Now that is a debate I'd like to see!!! (www.militaryspousesforchange.com, in the news or events and projects)
God Bless America and Hope for the Nation in Ron Paul. (imho)
