When your babies turned around 9 months did you start giving them "Next step" formula or formula for older babies?

I guess it has more nutrients than regular ol formula. I am still just giving Ava regular formula like always, but I got a coupon in the mail and just wondered about it. Also did you feed your babies formula after the first year? THey have formula for toddlers.

I just give Joey the regular formula still. I'm not going to give him the next step formula unless his Doctor tells me too. I think its a waste of money .

They didnt have the next step stuff till dd was pretty close to a year. Dh asked me if i wanted to switch her but I told him it was probly a way for the company to make more money. So we kept her on what she was taking. And yes at a year we switched her to regular milk.

We never did a next step or formula for toddlers. We did have Johnny on formula longer though because he was having problems with whole milk. He kept spitting it back up so we took him off for awhile, giving him formula instead, and then very gradually put him back on. We have since had problems and when he starts in his phase where he starts throwing up all the time we switch to lactose free and then gradually switch back. It has been about 1 month since we started switching him back to regular milk and so far he has been ok again. We're not sure it has something to do with the milk or if there are other issues. We're in the middle of trying to figure that out.

I guess I am the odd one, we have always switched our kids from formula to milk when they were 9 months old. You water down the milk for a while until they can handle it. The kids peditrician told us it is better for the eye and brain development. And all our kids did great with it plus they gained more weight of the milk than formula...our kids are skinny minnies when their babies. they say you can also take half formula and half milk to transition them into milk to.
