The fats seperate, so when you unthaw it...it will probably be kind of yucky.

My sister and I have. it does fine, you just have to let it thaw all the way... otherwise it's gross.

I've done it. You just have to shake it as it thaws for the fat ( unless you bought fat free) to mix back in. Very important to shake otherwise it won't taste right.

Our family does this during the winter, just let it thaw all the way, or stick it in the fridge for a few days and it will thaw out good and still be chilly.

I do it all the time..we go through way to much milk! I buy a few at a time and toss them in the freezer and when I see them getting low I pull one out and put it in the sink for the day...by night fall its usually good to go. Just shake it like the other girls said. Don't get the half gallons in the paper cartons they don't freeze that good...and also if its a cheap plastic that the milk is bottled in it sometimes will split so you have to watch that..I usually take note of that and don't buy from them...sure they might have cheap milk but if there cartons are cheap, do they skimp on anything in there milk to?

I did it with whole milk, just make sure it thaws completely and you shake it. I did it once with fat free and it didnt taste right to me.

I used to do it all the time when my kids were younger and we used way more milk. It tastes just fine and works perfect! It takes about a good day and half to thaw a gallon in the fridge.

I would think its fine to do. I tend to freeze my milk a little before I drink it. I'm sure if your going to freeze it for a while tho, like every one else said, shake it before you drink it.

my father and all my uncles are scallopers, and they leave out on a boat for weeks at a time. They buy several gallons of milk before leaving and freeze them to keep them fresh. I personally have never needed to do this, but I've never seen anyone get sick from it or anything.

Yep, I do it all the time. I actually just thawed a gallon today. With prices of milk these days and how much I go through, about a gallon every two days. I stoke up on it when I go to the commisary and freeze it.
Now I have only tried it with skim ( fat free) milk and have never had a problem.
Not sure about whole, but I cant see it not working
