I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a Christmas present(s) that I could get my boyfriend, who is being deloyed in February or March. I was thinking a cross necklace and a scrapbook. I really like the Build-A-Bear idea, but there isn't one close to where I live. I want to get him something that he will look at, keep close to him, or hold onto when he misses home. Any ideas would help a bunch. :)

How about a pillowcase with your pic or a couple pic of the two of you on it. :yes

i think a good picture of your two for him will be really nice.

Maybe send him a special pillow case with pictures. Then he will see you when he goes to bed every night. You can buy the transfers from walmart and print it at home.

what about a fleece blanket that you tie together? I made one for my DB and he loved it. When he gets deployed I am going to make him a dog tag that says I love you...forever and ever. That is just a little thing we say so something like that might be nice...

Thanks for the suggestions. :D Today I bought him an eagle, globe, and anchor pendant and chain... I don't know if he'll be able to wear it when he's deployed, but he can keep it with him. I got that for his Christmas present, and I'm making him a scrapbook as a pre-deployment present. I might also try the pillowcase idea. :) And once again, thank you.

im sending DB my blanket that we always wrapped up in and making sure it smells like me...ive kinda been sending him little gifts for awhile because we werent sure what our communication level was going to be on christmas and where he was going to be exactly...our present to each other is going to be taking a vacation out west when he gets home!

I got me and my DB some mispahs (the half pendant things where you both have half) with the army symbol. The link is in the genral section.

One of the Christmas packages I sent my marine was a memory card from my digital camera filled with lots of videos of all of his family members and lots from my room mates and I being silly. Once he receives the memory card, all he has to do is pop it into his digital camera or lap top and he can see all the videos.

I am making my DH a calendar. I am putting pictures of DS and I through the years on each page. DS's first sledding adventure from years ago for February, Navy Ball pictues for October, etc.
I am also writing little things on certain dates.
