We checked our credit scores again today and both Tim and I have a score of over 700. That is awesome to me and I am so incredibly excited.
We also checked to see what we could get approved for a home and they told us $170,000 which is nothing what so ever here. We may consider a condo though, but we aren't sure.

Where did you get your credit scores from? Did you have to pay for it?

Military can check thier's for free through all of the major credit companies - Equifax, etc and I recommend checking all three of the major companies because one could show something that another does not. You can also dispute things on-line when it comes up, if there is anything you feel should not be there. I think they recommend checking it once a year.

A federal law was passed last year stating that you are allowed one copy of your credit report per year from each of the 3 major bureaus, free of charge.
