Where do y'all recommend to purchase living furniture? We went to the VB Haynes tonight and :wow is that place huge!!! We saw a chaise sectional there that we loved, but plan to look around before making our final decision. We might take a peek at the NEX furniture store at Little Creek before the Haynes furniture sale ends on the 16th. Anywho, I'd love to hear any inputs. :D

When I lived down there I looked a bunch of places for different furniture and ended up going with Value City Furniture in Newport News and honestly was happier getting furniture there than I have anywhere else. I'm gonna be getting some living room furniture from the store here in Richmond soon.

I've found a ton of things at Little Creek that I love. I believe they are having a sale next weekend also.
Haynes has nice stuff, can be really expensive though. If you are looking to save money that have The Dump and the Roomstore outlet on Military, though it usually takes several trips if you are looking for something specific.
We've looked everywhere for furniture, we'll probably end up buying at the NEX though, they've seemed to have the best prices with the no tax...

Definately the Dump! We got our $1400 king size bed for $399 and our $500 table for $169. I love that place!

Haynes is always having "the biggest sale of the year" so if this sale ends don't worry they will have one next week. But I would look at the Dump or Grand Furniture they might have what you are looking for.

I bought my formal living room furniture from Bloom Brothers. They recently went out of business though. I was not happy with their customer service.

I love Havertys but they are expensive, Haynes always is having sales and goes out of business each week. :giggle They always have these commercials and flyers saying they are going out of business-but 12 years later they are still here but somehow are closing each week. :shrug

I think the NEX at Little Creek has some great deals. I want new family room furniture, and I've looked there for leather furniture. They have great prices and no taxes!

Locally here, there is Haynes, Grand Furniture, I know the Nex does, The Dump and I think there's 1 or 2 other's that I've passed on VA Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach. :goodluck

We got our table and chairs at Grand about 10 years ago and it's still in great shape.

Avoid Haynes if you can. Their furniture is a bunch of crap. I also dislike the way they assume every potential customer is an idiot by broadcasting the weekly "biggest sale EVER!" gimmick.

We got a few pieces from GoodWood Unfinished furniture. It's in the Pembroke area, in a stripmall type area across from Sears at Pembroke mall. They have finished and unfinished, but you can save a good amount when you finish it yourself (or have them do it for a fee).

I also recommend the NEX. We bought our leather sofa and chairs there. A lot of their furniture is Ashley.

Stay far away from Haynes. They are a rip off and are black listed by the military. I got my bedroom set at The Room Store. Other then that I would try the Dump.
