ugh my 2 year old Ds and 6 week old Ds are both sick Ds#1 is getting over it but now my 6 week old has this slight cough it sounds really wet like it can't break up the mucus so were calling the doc this am it doesn't open till 7:30 I hope it's not serious what can you do for a cough at home though?

if his cough is wet, thats a good thing...it means the mucus is already broken up....its what is called "productive"....DRY cough with congestion is a worry. :yes

in the mean time....run the shower as HOT AS IT WILL GET and sit with him in the steamy bathroom....the steam will help ALOT. Also, try to johnson's vapo bath...(the green bottle, I'm sure u have seen it before)

I wouldnt give any OTC medication that young....but thats just me.

Thanks sweety this is what the nurse said on base so I'm trying to follow all these things she siad inless he has a temp or is not eating or breathing well then to bring him in!
