Is there really such thing as 'jail tours'? I need to visit a jail and write a paper. I have no idea where to start. I don't want to go to jail :tears

I would call the police department or the sherrifs department and ask. I am sure they might have some kind of program or maybe someone you can sit down and interview. I wouldn't want to do it either!

I know Ft Leavenworth Prison has a tour.... I guess you should just give the closest one to you a call and see if they offer tours...

I'm seriously disturbed by the thought of going to a jail. I hate being around strange men especially the ones in jail. This assignment is inflicting cruel & unusual anxiety upon me. :sigh

I went on a tour of Ft Leavenworth Prison when I lived in Kansas City. It was extremely interesting! They did not bring us around inmates....except for some workshops that we were shown. Very 'Non-Creepy'.

If you go, just make sure to look awful that day and COVER UP!!! I'd be afraid of the comments from people in jail. Good lucK!!

just call and ask for someone that can give you the experiance without actually haveing to go through the experiance
