I got *drenched* today. I had to walk down Broadway (in Seattle) to get to the drugstore, then stop at Kinko's, then back home. I don't mind rain like this except that my jeans got all soaking wet and stuck to my legs and I *hate* that!

there is no snow left on base--well at least my street except for a couple remnants of snowmen but those will probably be gone soon. it's still heavy as hell here

It took me over 2 hours to get back home (Seattle) from work (Monroe) yesterday because they closed part of 522 and of course I get a phone call that my MIL's house flooded...in N Seattle... and my sister IL who lives in the other half but didn't flood, has no flood insurance... and my DB and I own the duplex they live in...:eek(this seems confusing because DB and I are not technically married but we had a comittment ceremony over 2 years ago and have lived together/ owned houses together for 5 years... so I call his mom MIL...)
So, consequently MIL, who speaks no english and is 78 years old, is staying with me and her friend until we can get her floors all ripped up and replaced. Maybe I'll just buy her a raft and send her on her way.:twisted
DB called while I was on my way over there lastnight and he kind of freaked out then told me that I stressed him out by telling him about the flood :irked(even though his sister asked me to).
WTF? No, I don't have enough stress with DB deployed, my own garage flooded, my daughter acting out because she misses DB and is 13, my employees all acting weird and one sleeping at her desk and half the foster parents of the kids on my unit's caseloads displaced due to the weather... Can I just say AAARRRGGGHH and have another glass of merlot.... that makes everything better....:giveup
