Hi anyone here in the Hampton Roads Area? I just moved here in May and i'm looking for other military girlfriends/wives to get together maybe once a month and creat a support group for one another. Doesn't matter if your husband/boyfriend is on deployment or not...i just feel like we all need support and this would be a great way of doing it. Just let me know if you are interested and i would love to hear from you.

:welcome I am in Newport News. My Dh is deployed right now. He is on the Truman.

I am in williamsburg, Dh is on shore duty right now but will be on a ship in a couple months.

wow thats great that u guys are close....well obviously with all the bases in hampton roads....so how do u guys feel about this "in person" support group?

I live in Virginia Beach too. I would love to have a support group in person! I could definately use more friends that's for sure.

Hi ladies, my DH is currently deployed and I am not in the area until he gets back but we are stationed at langley AFB, it will be nice to meet some new people when I get back, We have been at Langley for almost 2 years now, we previously came from Germany.

I'm within walking distance of Oceana.

I love the idea of an in-person group. I'm just his girl so I don't really have any rights to information and I hung with him and his friends. Without him I just feel...lost. It'd be great to be able to have some friends that "GET" where I'm coming from. A lot of my other "friends" have told me to leave him and not be bothered. As if!!!
