Almost afraid to post it yet, but Good news...I just heard from the LT at the hospital and he did a little phone interview, explained the job that they are hiring for and it sounds like I might be getting it! It is a Voucher Examiner. I would be getting invoices in against contracts, checking those against what is allocated for payment and making them through electronic payments on DFAS, as well as checking inventory ordered against contracts for various departments in the hospital. Nothing for sure yet, but just the conversation and at the end he said that I should be hearing from them very shortly. My guess is by next week I will know. They are flexible in the hours and I can work a 5 day week, 40 hrs or work a 48 hr week and a 32 hour week getting every other Friday off. He really praised my resume and seemed to like my answers, so I am saying my prayers. They have to rate all the resumes and grade them accordingly, but I get preference as a veteran, a spouse and as a current civil service on leave without pay, so I have that going for me.
