I have a question, my DF is is in basic training, fort knox, he gets time off at christmas, yea....but then there is more basic which is total of 9 weeks, he goes straight into AIT and then there is graduation....
Is there any visiting time while he is in AIT?

I am pretty sure for AIT They will sometimes get liberty on weekend and small visiting times but I think it all has to do with behavior with all of the people and what not

:agree yep. after so long they can get weekend passes, or whatever they are called, but it all depends on how they behave. it can be taken away. Dh just started his ait, so he hasnt got to the phase where they get passes yet though. hes like 6 hours away though, so even when he does get passes i wont be able to see him.

Since you're saying graduation not until after AIT, I assume he's doing OSUT. SOME of the OSUTs have a family day in the middle of the two, some don't. He should get some day passes on the weekends of AIT, but nothing is guaranteed.

My husband is in AIT and he has every weekend free from 6am till 11pm every day. Weeknights are free from 5-11pm.

Basically AIT is like college, with PT.

If he does well, he will get more freedom.

There will be a TON of visiting time after the first few weeks. Most of the guys and girls go off base every night to bars, restaraunts, whatever normal people do. They just have to be back by bedcheck.

My hubby just got to AIT last night, Ft. Sill OK. They didn't take their cell phones away when he got there, so that's a good thing. Anyone know if they have internet access at AIT?

My dh will be over 14 hr. drive away, so seeing him at AIT is out of the question :(
