1. If the graduation is on the 28th...When should i get there? a day before? 2 days?
2. When should i buy the plane tickets & hotel room? i wanted to stay in the hotel on base...Itll be me & my 2yr old son.
3. What do you wear to graduation? dressy...jeans...
4. Does anyone know how cold it is in Oklahoma in Feb? lol.

msemmaleahx3 12-06-2007, 07:35 PM 1. family day would be the day before grad, so i'd get there on the 26th.
2. ASAP!! hotel on the base fuill up quick especially when there's a grad around that time. so do it as soon as you can.
3. anything you're comfortable in. when i went, there were people in jeans, to dressy shirts and nice pants, to dresses. so whatever fits the weather and what you are going to be comfortable in.
4. and i have NO idea. i've lived in mass my whole live. lol
hope i helped. i just went threw basic grad this past august, so if you have any questions or concerns you can PM me.
Loretta 12-06-2007, 07:45 PM Get there two days before. Usually family day is the day before and you do not want to miss that!!
The hotel on base will be full up within a week of those invitations going out. If you can't afford to book now, look for another hotel out in town, but be quick. They will book up fast.
It is cold as all hell and windy in Oklahoma in February.
Wear something cute but comfy for family, and something slightly dressier for the graduation. They have the grad in big rooms like a high school auditorium, nothing fancy.
Have fun and make sure to bring lots of extra snacks and toys for the little one, my little guy went nuts during the grad and was running up and down the aisle high-fiving people.

Maybe some nice slacks an a really cute top. I'd be a little more conservative, not too much skin. Just my opinion.
Just do a google search for "hotels in blah blah" or "hotels near whatever base"

lol i'm just saying stuff around bases fill up quickly, so as soon as you can book the hotel, do it. otherwise you'll end up screwed lol.

Proud Wife 12-09-2007, 08:44 AM My hubby just got to Oklahoma last night and it's pretty chilly (38 degrees last night). I would dress warm. I didn't dress warm enough for the graduation in South Carolina, so I froze my butt off sitting in the stands for hours :)
