How do you get oil stains off the driveway? I have heard that if it hasn't sunck in the you us kitty litter. But what about the set in stains? We have a perssure washer. But is there some kind of chemical I can put on the stains to bring them up?

Kitty litter works great. The cheaper the better too. Ground it up in the oil stain. Like rub it in with your feet. let it sit like that for about 30 minutes and rinse it away.
Also if that doesnt work get Simple Green....that works wonders!
my dh works on his truck ALOT and it leaks fluids ALOT so we use that like crazy.

a pressure washer is good for after all the other stuff is done.

The above works best, as far as I've seen. If all else fails, get commercial strength bleach and use it with the pressure washer. I've had to do that before too.

kitty litter doesn't work for set in stains or my driveway wouldn't be covered in oil. (damn oil pan had a crack in it) Housing told us about this stuff at Home Depot that gets it off. She couldn't remember what it was called, but an employee would know.

Thank you everyone. DH has changed the oil in the dirt bikes a few times and always manages to make a mess. And my car has a very small oil leak. I hate the little spots! I will have him try simple green when he gets home.

Use mean green...or tide power laundry cleaner mixed with borax powder add a bit of water to make paste...let sit for 20 mins then power wash off!! I worked for a gas station and this is what we used!!
