I just got home from my hubby's graduation at Fort Jackson on Friday, Dec. 7. It was so great to see him again, and the two days were wonderful (though he couldn't stay overnight, bummer). Now I'm a little sad again, waiting for him to come home for Christmas. Only 11 more days, so I guess I can do it.
Anyway, if anyone has any questions about a graduation there, fire away... LOL
By the way, you wouldn't believe how many soldiers didn't have ANY family come at all. Very sad.

Congrats!!! Your avatar is adorable!!
Question, though.
DH graduated in ACU's, rather than Class A's, because "it is customary to do so in a time of war". Are they not doing that any more?

My DF was supposed to graduate in his Class A's, but because of weather, and it was outside, he graduated in ACU's. I had never heard that about a time of war. Interesting to say the least.

DF was supposed to graduate in Class A's but he didnt because their Class A's all came too late to be 'ready'

The cycle DB was supposed to graduate with did Class A's for family day and ACUs for graduation. I asked why and he just said they were told to, so that might have been the "time of war" thing. I don't know. I was disappointed, because I thought the Class A's would be better in the pictures, but he didn't end up graduating with them anyway so... we'll see where he gets sent and what that company does.

Well, when dh graduated last month, he wore his class a's on family day and he wore his acu's on graduation day, but he had to change back into his class a's before he could leave the base with us after the ceremony.
glad you got to see him misty
