What I use that Bryan absolutely loves:
Pound both side of the steak with a fork, after you've sprinkled garlic powder and onion powder along with some freshly ground black pepper.

Then pour on soy sauce. Then pour lemon juice either from the bottle or fresh. About 3 TBS per steak for both soy sauce and lemon juice.

Feel free to pound steaks again with fork.

Allow steaks to marinate for at least 20 mins. Then grill!!!! Yumm-O!!!!

We've used different ones....Lawrys marinades, steak sauces, zesty italian dressing...things like that

Yeah, I was thinking something Asian. I have this Asian sesame dressing that is really good when I mix it with some BBQ sauce and Worcestershire sauce on chicken.

Hmmm, so many options now!

Maybe some soy sauce and the italian dressing to give it a little zing

1/4 c. A-1 Steak Sauce
1/4 c. prepared Italian salad dressing
1 tsp. garlic powder

Combine all ingredients. Marinate beef for at least 1 hour. Use leftover marinade to baste while cooking on grill or in broiler.

I LOVE this marinade...Of course I love A-1 and Italian dressing too so that would probably explain it. Lol.

Dh has a 'secret' recipe. All I know is it's a bunch of different sauces and spices.

We raise beef, but don't marinade steaks.. Marinade ruins the flavor and dries them out..

I agree with Lefty, but that doesn't apply if you are cheap or poor and buy the crappy cuts of beef :lol

Ours is a lot of stuff:

Pickle juice, apple cider vinegar(about 1/4 cup each), honey, garlic, cayenne pepper, soy sauce.

We rub them down with herbs and cracked pepper right before the grill, too. :drool

Add some garlic powder and steak rub to the outside, after they have been forked. I let them sit like that for about 30 minutes (in the fridge) then put them in a gallon size baggie with vodka, or some type of alcohol in the house (usually beer), some A-1 marinade, some worchestsire (?) sauce, a little bit of honey and some BBQ sauce. Let them sit in that over night.. :drool YUM YUM.. makes me want some steaks right now!!! :drool

I am very simple when it comes to marinading steak. All I use is a good olive oil, kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
