Anyone have a single level home that is over 2000 square feet? What do your electric bills look like?

Our bill is usually about 150, I could have it less if I'd turn off the lights at night, but that's just not gonna happen. :lol

Ours runs between $115-$180. The power company here tacks on $15/ month to use the city dump. :lol :screwy

We use gas heat.

OH THANK GOODNESS. I was getting a little worried that if we got a bigger house (the ones we looked at before were like 1300 square feet but the newest one is 2200) we were gonna get KILLED with the electric. This one has lots of fans though, gas heating as well, and I have nothing against space heaters. :D

THe hotter the climate the higher the bills. Ours is just at /slightly over 2000 Sq Ft, runs about $350 in the summer and our last bill was $139.00 so it varies. We found a programable thermostat and ceiling fans work great. BUT...ceiling fans really only work if your in the room, there is really no reason to run them 24/7, it only costs pennies a day but it all adds up.

In the summer - only about $60-80; in the winter - $200-350. However, we are on budget billing now so we pay a flat rate year round and that is right at $170. A lot will depend on the area you are actually in and how well insulated your home is.
