db & i had dinner at olive garden 2 sundays ago. our entree was served literally 2 minutes after our soup & salad. i only got 2 bites of my soup, & i love OG soup! then, my chicken was cold. our server didn't ask db if he wanted another beer til dinner was over...so i went to OG's website & used their comment form.

i heard from them today. they sent us a $50 gift card!!!!!!!!!!!!! how awesome is that! dinner wasn't horrible by any means...i was just expecting a lil more.

anyways, moral of the story, if you are unhappy w/ your service, leave a comment w/ your name & address. i've gotten 'compensated' for my troubles by a few places in the past.

That's awesome! My mom is pretty good about letting places know when their service is lacking and she's gotten gift cards in the past too. But more importantly, visiting the same place again, usually their service has improved.

We had crappy service at Chilli's on base and we got $20 coupons from the manager and 1 free meal :lol Hubby had free lunch for 2 days straight :lol

Complaining does do some good sometimes :)
