my brother is in the airforce. so me and him ordered a digital camera off of aafes.com to send to db in iraq. we ordered it nov 21st, and it said 7-14 days it should be there.....well its been almost 3 weeks. i know its around the holidays and mail goes slower, but i sent a package out on the wed. before thanksgiving and db got it that monday so it got there pretty quick, same with all his other packages...

my only question is if any of you have ordered something on aafes.com, and if you experienced that it took a while to get to where it was going

I don't know about that but I send something to DB in Iraw last Friday and it made it ther ein 5 days. I thought this time of year it would take longer but it doesn't seem to be that way

Does AAFES have a number you can call? I'm sure it's just a delay because of the holidays (AAFES has some sweet deals sometimes), so i wouldn't worry too much.

was it already shipped?? maybe it is on backorder?

it said it shipped nov. 25th..

i would calll but since im not in the military i was gonna have my brother do it...but he keeps on saying give it a few more days...im hoping it gets there soon....it was a really expensive camera!

yep all of the things i have ordered from aafes.com have taken awhile to receive. did you order it and have it sent directly to him or to you first, I always have it shipped to me and then i priority mail it and it gets there within a week. but still the digital cam i ordered from aafes took about 5 weeks for me to receive it. sometimes things will be backordered on aafes.com and they dont tell you until you call to check on the order. my advice is to give them a "friendly" jingle LOL

I think you should call them just to be on the safe side if you can.

I have had good and bad experiences with aafes. Sometimes it has taken a month or longer...sometimes it comes quickly. It has been hit or miss for me and it can be extremely frustrating. I hope you get some answers or it arrives soon :hugs

my dh ordered me some earrings for Christmas a few years ago...they never let him know that they ran out and that they ended up being on backorder. They never did come back in. He was so pissed.

thank you all for responding!! ill have my brother call asap...it just sucks because it was a REAALLY expensive camera and last time i checked the status, it said "shipped nov 25th" i feel bad because db wants to take pictures to show me what its like there and hes still waiting for the camera! i hope it gets to him soon!
