How much communication do you have with your hubbies/SO???

E-mail daily. Only 1 phone call so far.

I sent him a letter everyday, I was lucky if I heard from him once a month.. Sometimes an email, sometimes -depending on which part of Iraq he was in- we would have a webcam date on saturday mornings..

I would get something in the mail about every 3 months or so... A phone call once a month.

The best thing that we found that worked was the e-mail even though we all know that does not work all the time. I have had 2 phone calls but neither lasted very long.

I just checked, I got 76 emails over 22 months..

Every day through email...DH emails me from his work and then usually a phone call a day but sometimes not

wow, that is a broad range of communication, i guess it really depends on where they are located.

We email each other a couple of times daily.
as far as the extent of our communication, i tell dh everything, even if it may hurt his feelings. i am a very open and honest person. if he stinks, i tell him "you stink, you need to shower", if he looks like a retard I tell him " you look like a fuckin retard", if its something serious, i will sit down and explain my feelings to the best of my ability. Dh on the other hand, doesnt know how to tell me shit, i have to guess just about every damn thing. And if I ask him questions, he gives me half-ass answers. I dont even know his favorite color, cause when I ask he says "I dunno, I like a lot of colors"
After living with him for so long, I've gotten to know him by studying his habits and such. But things would be so much easier if he could just open up some more and communicate better!

Depends where Dh is at in Iraq. We used to talk everyday via im. Now its been a month since we have talked.

He is at AIT right now and surprisingly he never got his phone taken away so we get to talk every night (L) and TRUST ME... i know how DAMN lucky i am for being able to!

i totally bow down to all you ladies going through deployment with less communication. you guys are AMAZING

I get a phone call every once in a while. Normally about once a paycheck to once a month. And I get one email a day.

Daily contact so far...both e-mail and phone. My DH and I know how lucky we are on this deployment!

When Bryan was on deployment on subs, the longest I hadn't heard from him was 28 days, since e-mails don't work underwater. But usually it was once a week, if that. I'd only hear from him via phone when his boat pulled into port somewhere. Mailed letters was like twice a month...

I am really lucky, dh has got a phone in his room, so we usually talk once a day, even twice if I am really, REALLY lucky. Only about three emails so far, though. I love getting emails and letters, I wish he'd do a little more of that.... But I can't complain. I get to hear my sweeties voice.

I hope you guys don't think I am trying to brag, cause I am not! I truly feel for you guys when you say you haven't heard from your so and you are worried. It kinda makes me feel worried and sick too.

We have no communication. Almost been 12 months and I got one 15 minute call and one text message 4 months after the call. Because of his status.

I get to IM with DH once or twice a day usually right now where he is in Iraq. He is going to be going to camp warhorse in a month or two. How is the communications there?

I got a few phone calls and emails in the beginning of the deployment....

But now it's been over a month or more since I heard a peep from him. But last I checked he has not been calling his family either, and is not the most computer literate, and is a slow typist... AND had to be hunted down by the Red Cross during his last Iraqi tour so... :dunno I am just :taptap for this deployment to be over.

When he is home, even out on training, usually we talk on the phone or email every day.

We e-mail most days at least once. If he's not at his desk though then there's none. :sigh He tries to call every other day but the connection sucks. I send him something in the mail every other day and he says he is sending a letter every week. I just got my first letter from him and a book about surviving deployment and a sweet keychain with hearts on it.(L)

i've been blessed when it comes to communication.

DF usually calls once sometimes twice a day. he had been able to use his laptop and aim alot while working for awhile too, but some dumby got in trouble and he couldn't bring his laptop to work anymore. that should change soon.. which means more aim talking.

I usually either chat with him on MSN daily or when he isn't able to get on MSN we email each other. I have gotten 1 phone call so far which was when I called him on his birthday. :lovestruck

IM every day...phone a few times a week...used to be phone everyday, but he has internet in his can now and doesn't like to walk to the phone center

we e mail each other every day if we are lucky we can "chat" via e mail they can't have IM's on the ships computers and he calls when the phones are up or from every port they hit

We talk on the phone every day.

We get normally a few phone calls when they are in port, a letter or two if they get a mail drop, and I get to send him 8 family grams that they radio to the sub. At least that is how it was 3 yrs ago when we were on sea duty. We will see how this time goes.
