HOw long do you keep a cell phone for?

I have had mine since June 2005

generally 2 years so I can get the full credit towards a new phone and it costs me less to get a fun new phone.

I'm bad. Maybe 6 months. Everyone at work makes fun of me. I'm a farmer and I seem to find a way to drop it off a bin or drop it in something wet. Thank goodness for insurance but they still charge me some.

you sound like my DB. I think in a matter of 5 months he somehow managed to get 3 new phones. He somehow managed to justify every last one of them too. :teehee

About once every two years I get a new on e unless something amazing comes along that I have to have!!

:shrug whenever I can talk my DH into getting a new cooler one :lol

I keep my phones about a year.

I've had my current one a year.. the one before that, I think I had around a year too..

I change like once a year, I have only had this one since June. BUT when my dog Helo was a baby his favorite chew toy was the cell phone so when he went through that phase we got new phones A LOT!

lately i've been through 7 phones since may- not because i wanted to, but they all malfunctioned in some way.. and verizon thinks they can give you a refurbished one when you just paid the price for a brand new one a couple months ago!! grr!


but usually when something goes wrong with it.. or it's time for an upgrade! :)

i think i get a new one every 7mths...stuff always happens! i just got a new one...after our honeymoon to miami mine just stoped working

I get a new one every year.

Most I've ever paid for one was 1500 bucks. I kept it for 2 years.

Usually 2 years even if its kinda broke.

I have a crappy RAZR since hubby made the contract in 2005.

For as long as our contract is. I just got the one I have now in Oct. The one I had before this one I got in Nov. 2005. So just short of 2 years with that one.

I keep mine for 2 years! Bc I wait till my "New Every 22" comes up for Verizon and then I use the $100 they give me to buy my new phone.

my last phone lasted 4 years until it wouldn't charge anymore so i just got a new one which hopefully will last as long. I like to use things until they are dead
