I use refried beans to make a 7 layer taco dip.

Layer refried beans, taco sauce, sour cream, chopped tomatoes, olives, green onions, lettuce and shredded cheese in a baking dish or plate. It's really yummy.

My SIL makes a dip with two cans of Rotella tomatoes (drained well), and a package of cream cheese.. It's really really really tastey!

When I do this one, I mix taco mix into the refried beans. That gives it the taco flavor.

Just a suggestion.

I just looked it up and it said to add taco seasoning to the beans for flavor.

The 7-layer dip recipe I use says to mix the taco seasoning with the sour cream. :D I just use the Frito-Lay bean dip as the bottom layer instead of refried beans. I think they're pretty similar though.

cream cheese spread on the bottom of a platter, then beans on top, with cheese, throw it in the microwave to melt the cheese...it might not sound good but it is DELICIOUS!!

I know this is late but this recipe is always a hit: a can of Hormel chili, 1 pkg cream cheese ( i use the non-fat), and cheddar cheese. melt the chili and cream cheese in the microwave. stir both together and top with cheddar cheese. serve with tostidos.
