i wish DB got a month warning, it's all been so drawn out. we've known for about a year he'd be deploying in January.. didn't know an exact date, but the month. make sure to keep yourself busy. I haven't been through a deployment yet, but will be starting in Jan - he's gone til the 23rd anyway so it's basically started already. if you need anything or just want to vent, PM me, we can go through this together! :)

we got a week notice.
found out the day after christmas, and he left right after new years. drove 11hrs to see him for the weekend before they left... and he worked 5am-10pm every single day (except new years eve, only till 8pm) until he got on the plane. i'm still pissed about that... a year later. :madwife

but honestly, i think the shorter notice was easier. gives you less time to worry and dread things. everything will be fine, just love him up before he leaves.
