Anyone in or around Ft. Knox? We're looking for nice areas off base. Upper middle class with good schools (elementary) and community ammenities. Don't know where to look..... We don't mind a mild commute. 30 minutes or so from Knox, ya know?

To be exact I live in Middletown, KY, the zip code is 40243. The schools out here are good. I would recommend Hite Elementary school.

I would vouch for the area. Look up places on apartments.com or even in the courier journal (the city's newspaper), if your looking for houses, there are several for rent in the area.

Louisville is WAY too far if your SO has to travel back and forth to Knox.. IMO. I would try for Elizabethtown, and stay away from Radcliff.. LOL If you need anything else, feel free to PM me :yes


I work in Louisville, however if I was a soldier that had to make sure I was at PT at x:00 - I wouldn't want to have to time it from Louisville.
