when you were pregnant, or if you are pregnant, or if you become pregnant...
did/will/would you find out the sex of the baby? explain your reasoning please... I was just wondering...
I did, but have several friends that didn't...

We wanted to find out with both. With Reagan we found out at 18 weeks. Rhyann was stubborn and didnt want us to know. So we didnt know for sure until she was born.

Yes, we wanted to know. I don't like surprises, and I prefer to be prepared instead of having to buy all gender neutral stuff because you don't know if you are having a boy or girl.

For Tandis, we didn't want to know. It was so much more fun that way. I'm glad I didn't miss out on that, it was a great experience. Our next one we will find out asap though. :)

I don't want to know. I figured if we were supposed to know beforehand our stomach would be see through. As long as the baby is healthy and deveopling properly that's all that I would want to know. :)

I wanted to know but DH didn't, so we didn't find out. I'm hoping when we have another one that we can find out so I can shop and plan a nursery.

I found out all 3 times. I always said if I had a boy and a girl and was pg again then I wouldn't want to know. It didn't work out that way. I had my boy and girl but couldn't wait to know. Up until the point I was getting the u/s I had said I wanted the last pg to be a surprise. But when she asked if I wanted to know the sex I buckeled. I wanted to know with the first 2 cause, well, the first we had nothing and with the second we wanted to get boy stuff since we had all girl stuff if he was a boy.

We wanted to know with both pregnancies. Personally, I wanted to know because it made naming/shopping for/identifying with my baby a little easier. DD had a name for the last 4 months or so of my pregnancy with her. It was her - it was who she was. Paige. Not Paige or maybe Connor. Not green or yellow or neutral. Paige. Pink.

As it is with DS. He has a name. It's who he is. When I shop for him, I know I'm looking for footballs and dinosaurs and tonka trucks - not dolls and kittens and pompoms. There's no question, kwim? He's blue and red and brown and green. DD was pink and purple and - well - pink and purple :lol

I did get some yellow and green onesies before we found out he was a he...but I was so happy to be able to identify him, and call him by his name. He may be unborn, but he is our son :)

I hope all that made some sort of sense.

I feel this way too...I will find out on our second, but if it works out that I happen to have a boy and girl, if we ever had a third I think I would leave it for surprise...we'll see!

Yes...DEFINITELY!!!!!

I just really enjoyed buying gender specific items and making Ethan's room gender specific. I wasn't too fond of all the yellows and whites. That's ALL my mom bought when we first told her we were pregnant with Ethan. Once we told her Ethan was a boy, then ALL the NICE stuff came in through the mail....LOL!!!!!!

I would just be too anxious throughout my pregnancy if I had no idea what gender my baby was. Finding out what the gender is/was made things more real for me, even though I was in complete denial until the very end...LOL!

We both want to know, just so we can be prepared with boy stuff or girl stuff that kind of thing.
