I was at work today and heard this song on the radio. It's a country song and a little girl was singing it. I've searched for the lyrics on the internet but can't seem to come across them. I did come across this. After hearing this song, I was a complete mess at work. I cried for a while.

The Bring Him Home Santa song is based on a fictitious theme written by Tim Johnson and Rory Feek of Song Trust, of a six-year-old girl who misses her father who is overseas for Christmas and asks Santa to bring him home for her in return to all the gifts that he gave her.

I also read that it took the little girl a while before she could actually make it through the song without crying because every time she though of some other little girl who wouldn't have their daddy home for Christmas.

i have this song on my myspace profile..i love it! i cry everytime i hear it...my mom asked me if i had heard it the other day..then she said there is alot of controversy over it..people saying that they are exploiting the little girl...funny how people cant just enjoy music...its a great song!

I love a hate this song, I love it because it is so sweet and it does show how a lot of kids are feeling but I hate the fact that kids are even feeling this way.
