:sigh Got an e-mail from my DB and he let me know that a few of his commards have fallen. They had a ceremony for them this morning. My heart aches for them and their loved ones. My DB seems to be taking it okay, but he's always been the strong one. This has just made it all to real for me. Please keep them and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks girls! :sigh

I don't even know what to say in times like this. It brings some of my worst fears that I try to ignore to the forefront. The families are definetely in my thoughts and prayers.

Mikey called me one time with that same basic story. I could tell it bothered him, although he didn't say anything except, "It's hard." I teared up just listening to him. The guy they were having the ceremony for was from very close to our hometown too....and Mikey was the one who had to pull his body out of the Bradley.

I thank God everyday that Mikey came back in one piece, even though he's having a lot of medical and mental issues. I say prayers everyday for the families of our fallen soldiers, and for those who still have family over there.

I will be thinking of them and thier families. What a difficult thing to go through any time of the year, but at Christmas it just seems so much more difficult.

I'm so sorry he's lost fellow soldiers. It so completely sucks. That's all I can even muster about that. If I say more, I'll just get angry about this war. Know that I'm thinking of you b/c I know that horrible feeling you get in your gut when you realize again that the one we love is in danger too. We are close friends w/ 9 guys that are w/ my DH's company. They have been guarding a base until last month. He told me today that one of the guys was out on security & the whole front end of his vehicle was blown off. The guys is fine, but it just makes it more real. I'm friends w/ his wife & she doesn't know & I can't tell her. I just plain hate this. I had to tell someone, so thank you for listening too. Hugs to you & your guy.
