Christmas cookies? What kind do you make.

I have memories of making TONS of cookies with my bio-mother as a little kid, but I can't remember what all we've made, and I really wanna bake since I haven't had a good chance in a while.

So far, I've made:
peanut butter balls
chocolate truffle balls
Russian Tea Cakes

I'm considering a butter cookie and lemon bars.

What else??

I know we used to make the Rum Cake (fruit cake thingy?) but... not 21 here, so that one will have to wait until next year.

Anything else? That doesn't seem like enough Christmas cookies to me. (And y'know, this has noooothing to do with trying to make a good Christmas impression on DB's mom.... :oops ;))

I LOVE snikerdoodles... then again my favorite part of Christmas food is the fudge :)

I can do just about anything else, bread, cookies, cake, and assorted other ethnic cooking dishes. I can also stop an acid leak with chocolate ;) but I mess sugar cookies up every year. :sadeyes

I dunno.. the dough always tastes good.. and I use silicone mats so they bake evenly, not burned or anything... I just... can't ever get them to taste right after they bake up... either like glue, or, just blah :dunno

I do like sugar cookies though, because I love making the different colors of icing and "painting them" :giggle

We always made gingerbread people and these little candycane ball things.. Basically ya know Spanish wedding cookies with walnuts? You swap walnuts for crushed candycanes and color the dough pink with a little peppermint flavoring.

My mom always makes spritz cookies and candy cane cookies too. She usually also makes these scroll cookies that are my favorites... My mom is a pastry chef and I'm not so I don't usually do any of this baking myself and I just wait for the box from mom.

Yeah, my bio-mother was a fantastic baker, so I'm not used to doing this on my own.

I ended up making all together:

I might try to make some more when I get to DB's parents', or to my own. :D For now, I'm prolly done baking though.
