How far along were you when you had yours?

Were you high risk?

12 weeks for due date... 21 weeks for gender, and then 35 and 37 weeks for bio profiles to schedule induction..

Smooth sailing during my pregnancy.. everything was totally normal.

I was 6 1/2 weeks when I had mine, and they told me I was high risk because it was my first pregnancy and they weren't getting any indication that there was a baby in there. Sadly, there wasn't and I miscarried at 8w 1d.

It sounds like you are doing wonderful though, so I wouldn't be nervous! The only thing I can tell you..is prepare yourself! When you are this early they do the internal ultrasound and that crap isn't fun...but I am sure it is going to be so worth it. :)

They told me that they like to do the first one around 8w since you can usually get a heartbeat by then. (L)

16 weeks because I had some minor bleeding.
18 weeks for the general u/s that Tripler Army Medical Center gave. We found out Ethan's gender at this u/s.
24 weeks 4-D u/s, but I recommend that between 28-32 weeks. :D

PS....I was EXTREMELY LOW risk. :)

I'm not really nervous.. I'm impatient. I dont want to wait till 20wks. My first group appt is when I'm 9wks 2days so I figured my first ob appt will be 10wks or maybe 12wks

with my first I only had one at 16 weeks.
with two I had just one too I think at 16-18 wks, oh wait i had another when I got to the new doc. so a total of 2
with number three I had 4 or 5. i can't remember I wasn't high risk, but at the second u/s the dr thought he saw water on the brain so I went for a level 2 ultrasound everything was fine and we had permanent confirmation it was a girl. :teehee

depends on the doctor on how many and at what point u will have them..some dont do them at all unless there is a valid reason to :panic

with 2 of mine I had one at 20 weeks and another at 36 or so...

with with the 3rd...I had one at my first appt...and another at 20 weeks

with this one....I've only had one ...and I was about 20 weeks....another one remains to be seen.

I wasnt high risk at all.

With my civilian Dr (pre army) I got one at my 1st appointment, about 6-8 weeks. And the I got one about once a month to keep up.

Army Dr i never got one til my 20 week appointment. I had 2 other ones but I paid for those out of pocket. 1 to find out the sex and a 3d towards the end.

My first u/s was at 8 weeks to date the pregnancy. They didn't do an internal one. Just the external u/s.

And then at 20 weeks for the big one where they measure the baby's proportions etc

Actually I had a total of three now that I think of it. I had gone in to L/D because I was in severe pain and they wanted to check on her,

I wasn't high risk, but I had one at about 6wks, to check the heartbeat..etc.

Then I had one at 20wks.. for the sex.. and then another at about 30wks.. my 3D one..

I think I had a couple others, just to check on her and measure her throughout by my doctor too.

With my first I had one at 6 weeks because of spotting, they saw a spot on the placenta so I had another one at 12 weeks. Then I had one around 22 weeks (it was a little late because I had moved across country during the typical 18-20 week ultrasound window). It showed I had partial placental previa so I had another at 34 weeks to see if things had moved. Then I had one in the ER when I had the placental abruption, I don't usually count that one though. I had not been categorized as high risk.

With my second I had just one around 18 weeks, not considered high risk.

Breanna: first one at 15 weeks. I was 1 or 2 days shy of 16 weeks. I got another 1 at 21 weeks since they were unable to see all 4 chambers of her heart in the first u/s. I got another 1 at 27 weeks, too. I'm not sure why but they gave me another one. I was scheduled for another one at 41 weeks but had her before the u/s.

Johnny: first one at 18 weeks. I had another one at 28 weeks because in the first u/s it was shown that my palcenta was low so they wanted to make sure I didn't develop placenta previa. I didn't but got another u/s at 32 weeks cause I was measuring small.

Evan: first one at 19 weeks. I got another one at 36 weeks cause I was measuring small.

Most docs do one on your first visit to verify pregnancy and make sure everything is going ok. I have had a few and I think the first was somewhere around 6-8 weeks I went to the ER for severe bleeding.

At 8 weeks during my first visit, at 12 weeks because they couldn't find her heartbeat and then again about 18 weeks.

-With my first two only at about 20 weeks to take all the measurments and make sure everything was ok
-With This one I had one at 6 weeks dueto spotting. One at 13 weeks to determine due date. And the normal one at 22 weeks.
I have never had any problems with any of my pregnancies besides the normal aches and stuff.

With Lydia we had one at about 9 weeks to look for the heartbeat and then we tested high on the triple screen for down's syndrome (not sure I want to take that one again, 3 weeks of worrying before we found out she was fine) so I had to have a bunch of level 2 ultrasounds around 18-21 weeks.

And then DD was breech, so we had all sorts of ultrasounds then to see if she had turned. Pretty much every week for the last 2 months I was pregnant. And no, she never turned. :mumble

Every visit. I had a marginal cord insert that they would check on. I was fine & low risk, it was awesome seeing her grow every couple of months! :)

Hospital policy here is that you have one between 7-10 weeks to date the pregnancy and check for multiples, then another at 18-22 weeks for gender, etc., and then another at 35 weeks to verify the baby's position. Most of the docs also do mini ultrasounds at every visit but no pics from those. (I asked...lmao. )

Off the top of my head, I had one at 5, 6, 7, 8,9,10, 11, 12, 16, and 18 weeks. I was seeing a reproductive endoctrinologist because we were preparing to ttc again (I had been to one before and gone through tons of different fertility meds/procedures, but this was a different dr) after giving it a break for almost 9 months. I had a HSG (shoot dye through your uterus and fallopian tubes to make sure they are clear) about 5 weeks before I found out I was pregnant and no period within that time (well, no period for about 7-8 weeks, in total). So my RE had me come in right away and gave me a blood test. That came back positive and he gave me weekly ultrasounds, especially after I had lots of bleeding from a subchroionic hematoma. At 11-12 weeks, that absorbed, so I got less ultrasounds. I am kind of spoiled by them now and miss them!!!

With my son I was not high risk and I didnt get my first u/s until 18wks...but I had about 6 with him total.

With my daughter I was high risk and I got my first u/s at 5w/5d....and one every week until I hit 10wks...I was being seen by a RE with my daughter so I got my first trimester care from them and they are muuuuch better than an OB in my opinion! LOL
I had 11 with her total.

I'm getting my first with this one next week at 6wks due to my 5th m/c just 4mths ago, I'm hoping this new dr will put me as high risk again and monitor me like I should be.

With my first, I had one at almost every visit, so every week in the first trimester, every other week in the 2nd, and every week in the third again.

With my second, I had one at 6, 8, 12, 14
16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and then every week till delivery after that.

I am considered very high risk though, and they had to make sure I wasn't forming any blood clots, and that the baby was growing at a good rate. I wouldn't know what to do if I was a normal OB patient :lol

I had one at 16 weeks because my dates were wrong. Then another at 37 weeks when I had a placenta tear.

And I had my 4D one at 32 weeks. This is the one we paid for.

first one was at my first ob appointment taken for dating and measurements. i was 14wks6days. second one was at 21-ish weeks i think and simply to find out gender (which we couldn't because baby was modest). third was 3d/4d paid for to find out gender at around 27 weeks.
