I dont understand how there are never any girls from the Ft. Benning area on these sites. Its a huge training base as well being home to 3id infantry division... Is there ANYONE out there near ft benning??

I was born and raised in Rome, GA its about 3 hours away from FT Ben. I know for sure I'll be in the area in May and maybe in Jan. also... maybe we can g2g?

df was suppose to be stationed at ft benning but they messed up his orders and we were at hunter. he had to drive there almost every week!!! it stunk! id your dh deployed?

Not anymore. He was medevaced out in Oct. So I have him home for now, "until the next rodeo" as he puts it

DB is in Ft. Benning right now training in RIP. He graduates Feb. 1 (if he gets through the training) and then he finally gets his duty station orders. Its most likely going to be Benning seeing as there are only 3 places he can be stationed (1 in WA, 2 in GA). And everyone from the last Ranger training was stationed in Benning. As soon as he's stationed we're getting me moved out there with him, so I'll probably be in Benning in the next 2, maybe 3 months. I would love to actually know someone before I move! I'm pregnant, we're getting married but he'll be deployed when the baby is actually due so I wont have anyone I know there :( very scary. How is Benning? I've only been on base like twice for his family passes.

well, im not, but my boyfriend is stationed there & when he gets back from iraq in about 2.5 months, i'll be up there all the time!!!

north columbus is the best area ( i believe) but its farther away from base and its gonna be more expensive. Im living around exit 6 and 7 and its pretty decent.
IMO lower than exit 6 gets sketchy.. you definately don't want anything around exit 1 (victory drive) ..I hope this helps some.

we're pcs'ing there in about 8 months!! dh will be an airborne instructor

I live around exit 7. Its really nice. But any lower gets kinda wierd.

Dh is at BTC in For Benning!! I have a friend who lives in ATL so i go down there and visit every once in awhile, hopefully I'll be down there during the summer!! I love GA!!

I live on post. So much easier than looking for a place. Plus they are building all new housing that is super nice. I want one but people in the path of construction and newcomers get first dibs. The new ones are min 3 br 2 ba 2 level and 2 car garage. I am so jealous.
