because my contractions were 3-4 minutes apart for an hour and i was having to catch my breath in the beginning of them. they strapped me into the monitors and recorded the contractions at every 4 minutes or so. unfortunately the contractions are not being productive enough to get me dilating enough. i am only about a fingertip or so dilated. i'm just kind of sad and trying not to :tears after going. i was really hoping. they said she's also at 0 station so that's good and that i am 100% effaced i'm just not dilating yet. :sigh i just want her here. :tears

I am suprised considering you are a week overdue almost. Its not good for the baby to be too overdue.

I hope it happens soon Jill!

Keep an eye on her movements. If she slows down I would ask for one. To check her and your fluid levels.

yeah she's still moving hard! i mentioned she was moving a bit less today than normal and they said as long as the movements are still strong then i shouldn't be concerned. the dr and nurse both said that. i just really want to meet her so badly and just hold her and hug her and cuddle her and be with her

Do they think you will have her vaginally or will you be a c section?

harrisonsdream
12-19-2007, 12:37 AM
they think i'll be vaginal, they think that once i start dilating i'll go quick because i'm already 100% completely effaced so i just have to dilate no effacing to worry about.

Jennygirl

I wanted to do vaginally but he was stuck at -1 and never really dropped where he needed to go...he was having problems so i was on oxygen for most of the time i was there.

You should try and labor as much at home as possible. Especially if you're still wanting to go natural/no meds. :yes

baby jesus? :lol (in the tags)

Jill, that just sucks! Are you having problems dialating b/c of the procedures you had done before? I remember a post you made about that recently. I just ask that b/c I remember someone else on here had the same issues and she had to be induced or something b/c her body wouldn't dialate on it's own.

walk walk walk hun that sucks you aren't dialating but keep in mind once you do you can go fast. I know with ds according to my due date by my period he was due sept. 11th(he was born on that day) but according to the ultrasound he was due sept. 2nd and starting that week of the 2nd I was there doing NST's they told me if I hadn't had him by the 16th they would have given me a NST on the 13th and induced on the 16th :dunno different doctors won't talk induction till 41 weeks mine let me set it up at 39 weeks 6 days :dunno good luck though hun i'm shocked too they didn't do any ultrasound to check fluid levels or NSTs though
